Root Canal Treatment:
This procedure involves removing the inflamed or infected pulp inside of your tooth carefully and disinfecting it.
After the area is cleaned, it is filled and then sealed. The procedure is relatively painless and extremely effective.
A root canal treatment is required if the following symptoms are experienced: Extreme pain when you bite or chew, a tooth that is chipped or cracked, persistent sensitivity to hot or cold, swelling of the gums or tenderness & deep decay.
Dental Bridges:
Dental Bridges are used as a dental restoration to replace one or several missing teeth in the same area.
Not only do dental bridges restore the function of your teeth, but they also prevent your surrounding teeth from shifting out of position and into the space formed by the missing teeth.
Dental Implants:
A Dental Implant is a metal post that is implanted into the jawbone which replaces the root of a tooth that no longer exists. The replacement ‘tooth’ is then attached to the metal post, and will look just like your original tooth.
Since the implants are placed in the gums, and the replacement teeth are attached to the metal post, this creates a very permanent bond. Hence, dental implants improve durability as well.
Tooth Extractions:
Tooth extraction are often recommended to prevent serious dental issues like infected or abscessed teeth. Even after maintaining good oral health and hygiene these issues may arise. This means there is no other way to save your tooth and the only way to prevent further health issues is to completely remove the tooth.
Other reasons teeth need to be extracted can include:
- Extra teeth that are blocking other teeth from coming in.
- If baby teeth that do not fall out in time to allow permanent teeth to come through.
- To create room for the teeth that are being moved into place with braces during Orthodontic treatment.
- Due to Crowding sometimes, one or two teeth may need to be extracted to make orthodontic treatment more effective.
- Chipped, cracked or broken teeth can pose a risk to the inside of your mouth. They can also affect your eating habits.
- Gum diseases can cause severe damage that only a tooth extraction can fix.
- Impacted wisdom teeth that push other teeth out of the way.
